About Us

After working with trees for the past 35 years, I have come to know and love my profession. I am an arborist, tree surgeon, and horticulturalist. I have trimmed, removed and created bonsai from almost every kind of tree in Northern California.

I started my business in 1979, while attending college in Sacramento, California. I received my AA degree in Horticulture / Environmental Resources from American River College and then did further studies at U.C Davis. I started my business to fund my schooling and after all those years of studying I ended up with 15 employees and the realization that this was now my passion and career. Since that time my education and experience has increased tenfold.

My knowledge of trees and university studies have been, and continue to be, the foundation of my work.

Here at Kuttler's Tree Service, we are constantly bettering ourselves by studying and using the most modern technologies and equipment. Our major focus is on safety. Our safety record with employees and customer's property is untouchable, which is something that we pride ourselves on.

Our company handles any situation any tree can give to us, from simple landscaping to hazardous removals, shaping and thinning, to disease diagnostics and the most delicate of pruning tasks. We can give you that million-dollar view that you have always desired and also give your home much-needed fire safety. We are also very proud to offer the specialization of Heritage Oak Trees! We climb without spurs (or spikes) in order to protect trees from the spread of disease and the significant damage spurs inflict on the skin of the trees.
